NSS inaugurated at Dr. N Kire GHSS


Kohima, May 10: Around 100 students of Dr. Neilhouzhü Kire Government Higher Secondary School, Seikhazou, Kohima today enrolled themselves to NSS volunteers.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) for Dr. Neilhouzhü Kire GHSS was formally launched this morning by State NSS officer C. Theyo at a function held in the Utility Hall of the School here.
In his address, Theyo said NSS is the longest serving scheme without any break in the nation with the main objective of NSS to develop students’ personality by conducting various activities both at national and international level.
Theyo informed that 68 institutions of the state both private and government are active in NSS activities.
Reminded the students that only study without any extra curricular activity would make them dull, Theyo encouraged them to do other activities and also find out their hidden talent.
Chaired by vice principal Rose Chishi the programme commenced with invocation prayer by PGT Tiala. Welcome address was delivered by Principal Dr. Bijano Murry and special song by Tangsoi while vote of thanks was proposed by NSS programme officer Rükuvoyi Swüro. (Page News Service)
