NSS bids farewell to 18 cadre officers

Dimapur, April 25: A farewell programme of three Secretaries of Nagaland Secretariat Service (NSS) cadre and other 15 cadre member officers was organized in the Secretariat conference hall, Kohima on April 24. Almost all officers will be retiring on completion of 35 years of service except one on attaining superannuation during 2019. Most of the officers will be released by end of April while few of them will still be serving for few months and in due course might also get promoted to higher grades as their promotions are due.
Speaking on behalf of the retiring officers, Secretary for Veterinary & AH thanked the almighty for His blessing given to her as well as her colleagues, the NSS batch of 1984 enabling them to complete 35 years of service all in good health except some who could not make it.
The Secretary appreciated the NSSA for organizing the farewell programme adding she was touched by the good gesture. She also thanked the NSSA for their concern and effort and timely action taken by P&AR Department which has enabled the seven cadre members to be promoted to three posts of Secretary and four posts of Additional Secretary respectively in March 2019 to which she pointed out that it was a big bonus to their pension benefits.
She added that Civil Secretariat is the hub of all power, procedures and rules and commented that NSS is second to none and therefore the officers should be proud of the NSS tag.
Joint Secretary, Amenla Sashi who spoke on behalf of the NSS members congratulated the outgoing officers and wished them good luck as they celebrate the successful completion of their career. She attributed their laudable contributions and the many sacrificial deeds while in the long years of career.
The outgoing officers were given memento and a certificate of appreciation. The programme was chaired by Vice President of NSSA Kito Swu while President of NSSA Johnny Humtsoe delivered welcome address.
