NSM & APC Bangalore carry out social relief outreach programme

NSM distributes relief

Dimapur, July 4: As the nationwide COVID-19 pandemic lockdown continues, Northeast Sewa Mission Dimapur, Nagaland and supported by All People Church, Bangalore, come forward and offered relief packages, assistance to needy community in Dimapur.


Public Relation Officer, Lucy L stated that Northeast Sewa Mission works among the underprivileged people groups, on the theme “Covid – 19 Social Response”. On July 3, APC & NSM distributed dry rations to 50 families, identified through the local churches leaders and public leaders.
The beneficiaries were given essential food commodities sponsored by All People Church Bangalore. Beneficiaries were single mothers, widows, daily wagers, students and siblings from far flung areas.
The next targeted area is reaching out to the villages lying in the Assam-Nagaland border belt in its final phase of relief work.
She further said that the COVID-19 preventive lockdown has changed the life of every individual in the country. While the lockdown is laudable and may be very much required to fight the pandemic, it has also led to numerous problems, especially for the underprivileged section of the society who live in a ‘hand to mouth’ situation throughout the year, she added.


Thousands of daily wage earners have lost their jobs and are struggling to fend for themselves and their families, she further said and called upon everyone to change the world by helping each other little by little.
