Dimapur, December 11: The Nagaland State Legal Services Authority actively took part in the 10 days Hornbill Festival at Kisama. Besides distribution of pamphlets and booklets there were some special programmes which took place in the Legal Services Stall.
A NSLSA release informed that on December 8, a legal awareness programme was held outside the Legal Services Stall. Justice N Kotishwar Singh, Judge, Gauhati High Court and executive chairman, NSLSA spoke on “Know Your Constitution” to a group of young students from Mezhur Higher Secondary School, Kohima College, Kohima Law College, Panel Lawyers & PLVs of KDLSA and also to people visiting the stall. Later on a Quiz Competition was conducted based on the topic he shared and gift hampers were awarded to the winners.
On December 9, another special programme was held in the Legal Services Stall. Justice S. Serto, Judge, Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench and Laxmindhar Pangari, Senior Advocate were also present.
NSLSA informed that in the 10 days Hornbill Festival, the Nagaland Legal Services Authority could reach out about 9000 beneficiaries.
