Dimapur, May 28: Nagaland State Legal Service Authority (NSLSA) conducted induction training for teacher in charge & Legal Literacy club (LLC) with Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA), Mon District Legal Services Authority (MDLSA) and Wokha District Legal Services Authority (WDLSA) on May 26.
In Dimapur, Yanbemo Ngullie, Panel Lawyer DDLSA spoke on effective method to establish Legal Literacy Clubs and to ensure its performance.
Sentimenla Tzudir, Panel Lawyer DDLSA spoke on “legal literacy clubs in community based engagement and its Networking “.
Member of LLC, MGM Hr. Sec. School, Srijana shared her experiences that LLC is a very helpful tool for students. She said that LLC helps the students to know more about laws, thereby spreading the awareness of legal rights and protection, fundamental rights and duties.
Kevithuto Neikha, member LLC, Livingstone Hr .Sec school shared that the club members not only benefited on the awareness of their rights but they have also learnt to exercise their rights and duties.
NeikoKanuo, District & Sessions Judge and Chairman DDLSA summed up the training by saying that knowing law is very important for all.
AjongbaImchen, Chief Judicial Magistrate & Secretary DDLSA delivered welcome address. The program was chaired by Ms. Glory Sema, Panel Lawyer NSLSA.
Meanwhile, in Mon- 40 students, 2 teacher-in-charge, 1 administrator from 2 schools and in wokha- 78 students, 5 teacher-in-charge from 5 schools attended the training.
On the same day, LLC of Kohima College conducted cleanliness drive at college campus under the theme “Cleanliness for growth”. Panel Lawyer NSLSA and three Panel Lawyer from Kohima DLSA with members from LLC and Panel Lawyer in charge joined for this cleanliness Drive. This drive was mainly focused on removing chewing gum from benches and desks.
