NSLSA celebrates Constitution Day

Dimapur, November 27: Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) along with the rest of the nation celebrated the Constitution Day today in several districts by conducting various activities. As a commemoration of the adoption of the Constitution of India and to reaffirm our commitment to uphold its ideology, the Preamble was also read out.

The Zunheboto DLSA observed Constitution Day at the District Court premises, Zunheboto along with the District Court Staff, Prosecution and PI staff by reading out the preamble of the Constitution followed by a short speech by Khesheli Chishi, Chairman ZDLSA who spoke on the importance of the Preamble of the Constitution and the relevance of observing Constitution Day.
Tuensang District Legal Services Authority celebrated constitution day at St. Joseph’s School Tuensang. The welcome note was addressed by the St Joseph’s school head master and recitation of preamble was led by Kumdilong Kessen secretary Tuensang DSLA and he also spoke about the purpose of celebrating the constitution day and Project Assistant TDSLA Soteth Anar also delivered the significance of constitution day .The programme was attended by St. Josepsh’s students and teaching staff and TDSLA staff.
Tuensang DSLA also conducted essay competition at LLC school. The topic of the essay competition was “Evolution of Indian Constitution.” Bahurul Islam was adjudged the winner of the essay competition. Jetei and Aviro Anar stood second and third respectively. The winners were awarded cash prize with certificate.
Wokha DLSA observed Constitution Day with the Court Staffs. Khrievono Seletsu JMFC/Secretary WDLSA spoke on the significance of the Day. Duvelu Vero District & Sessions Judge/Chairman led in recitation of the preamble with the staffs & WDLSA members to mark the Constitution Day.
Phek DLSA celebrated Constitution day at District Court Complex Phek. The Programe was chaired by Thomeweu panel Lawyer PDLSA, Cheliam Khiamniungan Secy PDLSA outlined the programme and activities organised throughout the country in celebrating of constitution Day and read out the preamble. Vethothi Panel Lawyer Phek DLSA shared and explain on the significance of celebrating constitutional day and further marked the occasion by giving his address on Directive Principles of State Policy and constitution of India. Sekhotso Panel Lawyer Phek DLSA deliberated on Fundamental Duties, and Thejalenuo Jane Solo Asst.Public Prosecutor Phek present in the program shared and mentioned that Indian constitution stands out in a myriad way, it is flexible, unique, detailed and practical. The program was attended by District Court Staff and PLVs PDLSA.
