Dimapur, October 30: The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) today launch its first phase of democratic agitation against the inaction of the Government of Nagaland to set up Staff Selection Board (SSB) with overwhelming response from the students’ community and the general public of the State.
A NSF release said students of various schools, colleges and universities wore black band/badge along with the uniform of their respective institution in response to the call of the federation to register their resentment against the State Government to respond positively to their aspiration for promoting meritocracy in the State.
The federation reiterated that the first phase of the democratic agitation will be carried forward for an indefinite period of time and if the State Government continues to remain indifferent to the cause, the federation would be compelled to take up the 2nd phase of agitation, the nature of which shall be made known to the general public in due course of time.
The NSF appealed to all the students and the general public to walk together with them in this journey until the desired result is achieved.
