NSF, ENSF urges state Govt to honour 12th June 2018 agreement

Dimapur, June 26: In view of the agreement arrived upon the NSSATA and the School Education Department on June 12, 2018, the Naga Students Federation (NSF) and Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF) today impressed upon the state Government to honour the agreement and resolution of all the stakeholders and bring the teachers of all the 2010 and 2013 batch of SSA & RMSA teachers into the mainstream of the School Education cadre in the larger interest of the teachers and students’ community.
In a joint press statement, ENSF president, Sepili Sangtam and NSF president Ninoto Awomi stated that as per the intervention of the NSF and ENSF, the agitating teachers under the NSSATA were invited for dialogue to address their grievances with the School Education Department and Government of Nagaland. Subsequently, consecutive meetings were held and to which an agreement was arrived upon on June 12, 2018 between NSSATA, NSF, ENSF and the Government of Nagaland, represented by the Principal Secretary, School Education with particularly 9 point agreement.
However, in regard to the Agreement stated on the 3rd point to rectify the nature of appointment of SSA teachers of 2010 & 2013 and the follow up of the Minutes of the Cabinet meeting held on October 3, 2018 which approved and decided in principle to bring the teachers of all the 2010 and 2103 batch of SSA & RMSA teachers into the mainstream of the School Education cadre has not been fulfilled till date, in spite of the repeated appeals from the signatories of the 12th June 2018 agreement, the joint statement said.
