Dimapur, September 2: The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and the Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has served 30-day ultimatum to the Government of Nagaland to mainstream SSA & RMSA teachers of 2010 & 2013 as per the decision taken in the Cabinet meeting of 3rd October 2018 and office memorandum issued on 5th October 2018.
This is in connection with the agreement signed between the School Education Department and the Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (NSSATA), NSF & ENSF on 12th June, 2018.
In an ultimatum to the Chief Secretary, Nagaland, the NSF & ENSF reminded that point number 3 of the agreement states that the Department will rectify the nature of appointment of SSA teachers of 2010 & 2013 batches basing on appointment order, RTI reports and advertisement and other relevant documents.
Subsequently, the Cabinet meeting of 3rd October 2018 decided in principle to bring the teachers of all 2010 & 2013 batches of SSA & RMSA teachers into the mainstream of School Education cadre and the OM issued by the Cabinet secretariat on 5th October 2018.
However, despite several reminders and appeals made by the NSF & ENSF, the agreement/decision has not been implemented till date, the ultimatum said.
Informing that the two federations after a consultative meeting resolved to issue the 30-day ultimatum, the NSF & ENSF warned that it will be compelled to take up democratic measures against the inaction of the State Government. (Page News Service)
