DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 30: Expressing pain over the decision of the All Nagaland Ad hoc Teachers’ Group (ANATG) batch of 2015 to intensify their agitation by resorting to indefinite hunger strike against the Governments inaction to regularize their service, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has appealed to the agitating teachers to re-consider their mode of protest while not compromising the teaching-learning process.
“This decision, coming after four continuous days of Silent Sit-in Protest by the 1166 teachers, does not augur well for the students’ community who are already deprived of their day-to-day learning due to the absence of the of the teachers from their place of posting due to the ongoing agitation”, the Federation said in a communiqué.
NSF also appealed to the Government of the day and also the Department concerned to objectively look into the matter and bring about a desired solution without further delay. It said the continued stalemate between the two parties with the authorities concerned treading lightly on the issue is only aggravating the situation with the students’ community at the receiving end.
