NSCW condemns


Dimapur, June 12: The Nagaland State Commission for Women has expressed dismay at the increasing frequency of crimes against women and children in the State.
In a press condemnation, the commission chairperson, Dr Temsula strongly condemned the latest incident of sexual assault on a minor which allegedly happened in Mokokchung on June 10. It urged the law-enforcing authorities to expedite the case and mete out the maximum punishment under the law to the perpetrator of the heinous crime.
The NSCW also stated that the minor victim of the crime should not only be adequately compensated but also be provided with proper medical and mental rehabilitation.
