NSCN (R) warns imposters on taxation

Dimapur, February 13: The NSCN (R) has informed that many unscrupulous elements are serving ‘Information slips and demand letters to shops & business establishments’ using pseudo identities in the name of NSCN (R).
In a release, the NSCN (R) said some modus operandi used by the ‘fake conmen’ are using real names of NSCN functionaries (especially of high ranking personalities), and masquerading as those officials while keeping their own identities concealed, which the NSCN (R) said not only tarnishes the image of the NSCN but also defaces and brings bad repute to the persona of those officials’ names “which amounts to nothing short of character assassination(s).”
Viewing all these ‘sinister designs and activities’ very seriously, the NSCN (R) through the MIP has issued stern warning to all those responsible(s) to immediately stop and refrain from such activities or face severe consequences of serious and of highest nature.
The NSCN (R) also informed all concerned that the NSCN authorities has not yet issued any ‘directives’ to any NSCN functionaries for collecting ‘legitimate taxation’ on business establishments and shops (for the fiscal year 2019-2020). It requested all business establishments and shops to cooperate, report and reach out to the following numbers: 9862746931, 9366074244 and 7005184377
The NSCN (R) said even after the issuance of this cautionary notification, if any business establishments or shops entertains such fraudulent activities, they will be doing so at their risk, and which will not reflect the image of the NSCN (R) whatsoever, and also will not be included in the government’s revenue file of regular collection of legitimate taxation.
