NSCN (R) lifts temporary ban on taxation


Dimapur, June 12: The NSCN (Reformation) has lifted the temporary ban on taxation in Chakhesang Region.
A NSCN (R) release said the temporary ban was necessitated due to unabated taxation drive by both regional workers and other unscrupulous elements.
Meanwhile the NSCN (R) has appointed Deputy Kilonser Muzivoyi Puro as caretaker to look after the Chakhesang regional affairs. He has been directed to take charge with immediate effect, and all cadres asked to comply with the directive.

Terminates 1 from service
The NSCN (R) has terminated the service of Nitoho Awomi (Deputy Secretary), son of Late Pitoshe of Satami Village with immediate effect.
A NSCN (R) release said Nitoho was earlier apprehended twice for collecting unauthorized taxation and for financial misappropriation in and around Kohima and in Dimapur area, and was issued with stern and final warnings to desist and refrain from such despicable activities.
However with willful contempt of the warning he was again apprehended on June 7 at Dimapur Supermarket area while collecting unauthorized taxation, the release said. On frisking, he was also found in possession of two booklets of GPRN/NSCN (U) MTR (Money Transaction Reciept). “His action(s) which is very serious in nature has attracted immediate expulsion from the NSCN (R). Henceforth, any action perpetrated by the defaulter in future shall not reflect the image of the NSCN(R) whatsoever in any manner,” it said.
