Dimapur, July 5: The NSCN/GPRN (Reformation) has extended Tuluni greetings to Sumi Nagas, and prayed that the festival bring prosperity and good tidings to all Sumis.
Tuluni is a harvest festival of the Sumis and is celebrated after the sowing is done to invoke God’s blessing for a productive season. It also signifies the betrothal of young couples. The festival is celebrated in the first part of July and ends on July 8.
Stating that Sumis are known for their bravery, courage and die-hard attitudes, yet simply chivalrous and respectful towards women folks, the NSCN (R) was optimistic that through the festivity, all Sumis will continue to shine in every spheres. (Page News Service)
