Dimapur, January 13: The NSCN/GPRN (Reformation) has extended very warm Sükrunyi greetings to the Chakhesang Nagas which is usually celebrated on January 15.
After the harvest, and with the beginning of the New Year and the arrival of Spring, the Chakhesangs engage in activities related to traditional sports and entertainment, to welcome the beginning of the New Year.
Sükrunyi festival is also celebrated during which boys and girls are consecrated though religious ceremonies and rituals.
The NSCN (R) wished that Chakhesang brothers and sisters continue to thrive in prosperity in the days to come and also to usher and propagate peace amongst Nagas.
