NSCN (R) extends Poang Lum greetings

Dimapur, January 12: The NSCN/GPRN (Reformation) has extended greetings to the Chang Nagas on the joyous occasion of the ‘Poang Lum’ festival which is usually celebrated during the 2nd week of January and ends on January 13.
The Poang Lum festival which is a post harvest festival, is a premiere festival of the Chang Nagas and which marks the celebration of Self-Sufficiency. The festival is celebrated with folk songs, dances and other cultural extravaganza, followed by feastings and merrymakings.
“As we usher into the new era, may this festival bring about good tidings and prosperity to Chang Nagas so that they may continue to be the frontrunner in every aspect and to be an inspiration to other Nagas,” a press release issued by the MIP, NSCN/GPRN (R) stated. (Page News Service)
