Dimapur, December 18: The NSCN (Reformation) has expelled Maj. Gen. Jackson Pochury, chief of the Army staff, Naga Army on December 18 for his anti social and anti national activities.
In a statement, the NSCN (R) said the primary problem cropped up when he (Jackson) directly threatened the collective leadership of dire consequences, which, it said, was serious issue as far as Naga Yehzabo (Constitution) is concerned. The second issue, it said, was violation of NSCN Discipline B, which says every member shall be guided by moral sense of responsibility and uplifting the moral standard of the country.
“However, most serious violation of set-up law of the Revolutionary government was his ulterior motive to form parallel organization. With that devilish plan, he forced Mr. Tuitimiu Makury, chairman Makury Region to hand over all arms from eastern sector and convinced him to form parallel organization.
But, Mr. Tuitimiu chairman Makury Region refused to handover any arms saying that the arms belongs to the government and not Army Chief,” the statement said.
The NSCN (R) informed that Maj. Gen. Jackson first defected from NSCN (K) and joined NSCN (IM). He again defected from NSCN (IM) and joined NSCN (Unification) and in December 2015, he again defected from NSCN (Unification) and joined NSCN/GPRN – Reformation in the rank of Lieut. Colonel.
Tendering unqualified apology to the Naga nation in general and its workers in particular for having conferred such highest position to “such un-reliable person to lead the Naga Army”, the NSCN (R) also apologized to Pochury community for going such extreme action on Maj. Gen. Jackson Pochury and requested the tribe leaders not to misconstrue this action as discrimination or targeting the Pochury tribe.
The NSCN (R) also appealed to other Naga revolutionary government /organizations not to entertain “such un-reliable person because accepting him will only disgrace the nation.”
The NSCN (R) also directed Maj. Gen. Jackson to handover all government properties including fire arms, vehicle and other documents through some NGOs. It informed that he is possessing two identified arms .32 pistol and M16-folding attached by the government for his security. “He must handover all properties within a week. The Naga Army personnel mis-guided by Jackson must come back and report to the President,” it added. (Page News Service)
