Dimapur, December 7: The NSCN (K) under Khango Konyak has revoked the NSCN (K)’s earlier decision to unilaterally abrogate ceasefire with Government of India with immediate effect.
In a statement, NSCN (K) chairman and president, Lt Gen (Retd) Khango Konyak and general secretary Col (Retd) Isak Sumi said the decision was made in the wake of appeal by NGOs and civil society organizations in Nagaland and positive response by GoI to the initiative.
The outfit had been in wide consultations with the NGOs and civil society organizations in connection with the ongoing initiative to renew the abrogated ceasefire with the GoI.
The NSCN (K) led by Khango Konyak said it expects GoI to respond positively by honouring its decision to revive ceasefire in the interest of peace in Nagaland and Naga people in general. (Page News Service)
