
Dimapur, September 12: The NSCN/GPRN (Khango) today unanimously elected Newell Naga as its General Secretary against the existing vacancy created by former general secretary, Isak Chishi, who was expelled from the party membership. This was informed in a press release issued by Lt Gen (Retd) Khango Konyak, President, NSCN/GPRN -K)
In another press release, Khango Konyak stated that an emergency meeting was held at Council Headquarters today where representatives from all regions headed by the Region Chairman, Council of Kionsers, CCM and High Ranking Officers N/A attended.
During the meeting the house resolved to expel its general secretary, Isak Chishi from active member of NSCN/GPRN (K) with immediate effect for violation of Yezhabo, as per Article 18 and misuse of Article 23. “Further found the following act against the Government-nepotism, tribalism, failed to follow and adhere to the Joint Council meeting resolution adopted on 23rd Oct 2018, superseding President’s power and authority, seized the Office of Home Ministry, deployment and maintaining the general strength of military unity which is against the authority of Chief of Army Staff and General Headquarter,” the release stated.
The meeting alleged that Isak used to imprint block in an official pad which is unauthorized by the Government, the release added. (Page News Service)
