NSCN (IM) denies role in Arunachal killing

Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, MARCH 4: The NSCN (IM) has denied involvement in any factional fighting in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh after reports linked the group to the killing of an NSCN (KK) cadre identified as Jomie Konyak.
In a statement issued on Thursday, NSCN (IM) said: “This is to clarify that NSCN is not involved in any factional fighting in Longding district. We have nothing to do with Jomie Konyak’s killing. We suspect that certain forces are putting the blame on NSCN to tarnish its image in the eyes of the Naga people as most often done by the Assam Rifles (AR) in the course of its smear campaign against NSCN.” (Page News Service)
