NSCN (IM) apprehends 5 with rotten pork meat from Assam

Dimapur, August 14: Five persons hailing from Bihar were apprehended by staffs of NSCN (IM) Ministry of Kilo (Home) Affairs Thursday midnight near Burma Camp junction when they were trying to transport rotten chopped pork meat concealed in cement bags in an autorickshaw and a Santro Xing.
Sensing something fishy, the NSCN (IM) staff stopped the Santro Xing and the autorickshaw and while checking the bags, foul smell started to emanate out.
Talking to Nagaland Page on condition of anonymity, a staff of NSCN (IM) said, “We got suspicious and after checking we found that they were transporting stale and rotten pig meat in cement bags to be sold in various markets of Dimapur.”
On apprehending the five persons hailing from Bihar and presently residing in Sachu Colony, the NSCN (IM) official said they intentionally tried to sell the rotten pig meat and “so we seized the meats and after confirmation that it was already rotten we disposed by burying it.”
He said investigation is going on and “the five persons are under our custody.” He informed that the five accused had brought the meat from the Sunday Bazaar area after it was delivered to them by their business associates in Assam. (Page News Service)
