DIMAPUR, MARCH 24: The NSCN/GPRN (Isak Sumi) has taken strong exception to the alleged information provided by the CFSB Chairman to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio that NSCN/GPRN is not a recognized group and refuted the contention.
In a press release issued by its MIP, the NSCN/GPRN clarified that Col. (Retd.) Isak Sumi, as recognised representative of NSCN/GPRN in the talks with the Government of India, is officially and constantly in touch with the Government of India and continues to be the sole representative of NSCN/GPRN and also co-convener of WC, NNPGs in political talks with the Government of India.
The MIP stated that since the formation of NNPGs and subsequent signing of ‘Agreed Position’ on November 17, 2017 with the Government of India, conspiracies are being waged by anti-solution and anti-Naga elements to disintegrate WC, NNPGs, and sabotage Naga solution.
It therefore, informed Nagas not to be swayed away by anti-solution elements spreading rumours and hell bent on sabotaging the Naga political solution.
The NSCN/GPRN also expressed surprise that though Hokato Vusshe and Phuyeka Achumi, who are wanted by the State law enforcing agencies and look out notice served against the duo in connection to multiple murders of innocent Naga civilians, are still evading arrest.
“It may be noted that since the disgraceful eviction of Hokato Vusshe from designated camp, Khehoi by his own cadres in the month of May 2022, certain prominent Naga politician has been campaigning from Nagaland to Delhi to enable Hokato Vusshe to form his separate group, however with no positive response from New Delhi a new plot was initiated”, the MIP alleged.
The MIP further alleged that Hokato Vusshe and co-conspirators paid a huge bribe to Khango Konyak, Shellen Konyak and Phuyeka Achumi to assassinate Ato Kilonser Col. (Retd.) Isak Sumi to pave the way for Hokato Vusshe to take over as Ato Kilonser of NSCN/GPRN.
“Thus on the evening of 4th Jan. 2023 Phuyeka Achumi made an assassination attempt on Col. (Retd.) Isak Sumi who was bloodily injured and on the verge of death but miraculously rescued by God with the intervention of Home Kilonser. Phuyeka Achumi confiscated the entire household properties of the family including the books and uniforms of the children and forcefully evicted the wife and children of Isak Sumi at gun point without allowing them even to retrieve spare clothes, yet continued to forcefully occupy the residence despite protest and eviction notice from Thilixu village and Sumi frontal organizations”, the MIP further stated.
The NSCN/GPRN asked Nagas to remain vigilant of anti-Naga forces marauding the land in the guise of national workers.
