DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 20: Following reports of a move to split the NSCN/GPRN-Reformation, the collective leaders of NSCN (R), president Y Wangtin Naga and general secretary P Tikhak today assured to resolve all differences within the group very shortly.

“There may be minor differences within the party workers but we assure that we will do our best to resolve all the difference very shortly”, the collective leader of the group said in a press release issued today.
A report in a local TV channel on Tuesday had quoted NSCN (R) vice president, Akato Chophi as saying that the group is headed for a split due to serious internal differences among high ranking leaders.
“It is extremely disturbing to note that some of our leaders had went public in expressing their resentment towards the party. At a time like this, when we are all patiently waiting in prayer to see a good and better days for the Nagas; it is certainly not pleasant to our ears to hear of new faction”, the collective leader of the group said in the press release.
Stating that factionalism has killed the backbone of the Nagas economically, socially, politically, Naga brotherhood, etc, the release said, “It is certainly not a time to create new party and factions rather our focus should be to find out a political solution collectively and also to introspect in our past, where we have went wrong.”

The two leaders admitted that differences do happen in every society, every institution, every family, but we should not allow the differences to overcome our common goal.
They appealed to all Naga people mot to feel disturbed “but help us in prayer to amicably resolve all issues”.
