Dimapur, September 30: NSCN/ GPRN (Khango) has refuted the news items published in regional newspapers regarding surrendering of 1 hardcore insurgent of NSCN/ GPRN (Khango) cadre before the Assam Rifle with one 9. mm pistol and ammunition in Jairampur, Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh and termed it as totally false and baseless.
NSCN/ GPRN (K) clarified that as of now there is no member or any command assigned in Arunachal Pradesh and claiming to be from NSCN/ GPRN (Khango) is utterly shocking and objectionable.
NSCN/ GPRN (K) further warned that making such unfounded claim over media without ascertaining appropriate facts from the competent authority is highly questionable and is seriously viewed and condemned as well, when the Naga political groups and Government of India have committed to pursue an honourable and acceptable political solution to the vexed protracted Indo- Naga problem.
It urged the Assam Rifles to first ascertain the facts before dragging the name of NSCN/ GPRN (Khango), in order to avoid further misunderstanding among the brethren and instead emphasis on the common interest and issue towards resolving the Naga issue.
