NSCN/GPRN-K clarifies on kidnapping case

Dimapur, August 28: The NSCN/GPRN-K has clarified on the “media allegation” of the arrest of two NSCN cadres by the Dimapur police on charges of kidnapping Symbiosis employee on August 26.
In a statement, the MIP NSCN/GPRN said on August 25, Mughaka Sumi lodged complaint to the NSCN authority in connection to duping/cheating case related to purchase of motorcycle. “Accordingly an investigation was initiated and the culprit Rohit Choudhary was found at Mid-land colony on 26th august and taken to working office for further inquiry and thorough clarity.”
The NSCN clarified that its cadres were completely ignorant of Rohit’s employment in the Symbiosis agency “and the lady manager of Symbiosis also personally came to the West Police Station to withdraw the FIR citing the incident as mere misunderstanding and mis-information, and while the problem was being sorted out, the Dimapur Ao youths came to the Police station in mob, took away the lady manager without allowing her to complete the formalities and forcibly registered the FIR as kidnapping offence.”
The NSCN/GPRN urged the DAYO, BAN and ALT to ascertain the facts before rushing to the media accusing the organization of criminal conduct.
The NSCN also noted that the culprit Rohit Choudhary was found to be “guilty of selling the motorcycle with fake/ forged documents and not innocent or a victim of kidnapping working for Symbiosis, since the Symbiosis enterprise has nothing to do with the criminal case.” (Page News Service)
