NSCN/GPRN cautions transporters/transport agencies

Dimapur, September 20: The NSCN/GPRN has cautioned all transporters/transport agencies to desist from all association with MughaviZhimo, Tatar, NSCN (Khongo) and vice president, Nagaland Transport Association “as he is evidently found to be collecting money from transporters in the name of different underground faction including NSCN/GPRN for his personal benefit.”

In a press release issued by its MIP, the NSCN/GPRN said on the pretext of dealing as a middleman (dalal) with different group, he has collected crores of rupees from the transporters which was never duly submitted to concerned groups but has purchased a number of lands in and around Dimapur and one in Zunheboto district worth Rs. 8 Crores for setting up a village in his name besides, constructing a palatial house in Thilixu village with the embezzled money amounting to crores of rupees.
“In the name of Naga national groups he is taking a sum of Rs. 36,000 (per entry) from every truck entring Naga inhabited areas. What is Mr. Mughavi doing with such a huge amount of money?” the NSCN/GPRN alleged.
Stating that at no point of time the NSCN/GPRN had authorized MughaviZhimo to collect money on behest of the government, the outfit said he is an active member of NSCN (Khongo) and therefore question does not arise for him be authorized by the NSCN/GPRN.
“He is said to be collecting monthly ‘protection money’ from transporters and in addition to that he is also collecting money on behalf of NNPG but not submitting the same to the concerned authority. In order to seek shelter for his wrong doings, he joined NSCN (Khongo) in the year 2020 with a back dated appointment order when he was found misusing money collected in the name of national workers,” the release stated.
The NSCN/GPRN said activities of such self-vested individuals are tarnishing the good image of the national workers and ultimately, national workers are getting the blame and therefore all right thinking citizens must be aware of such unscrupulous actions of such vested interest individuals in the name of national workers.

The NSCN/GPRN cautioned Mughavi Zhimo to immediately cease all his unlawful activities, “otherwise, the NSCN/GPRN shall be compelled to initiate befitting action against him as per the Azha.”
It further said transporters and businessmen dealing with Mughavi Zhimo for any financial matter related to NSCN/GPRN shall be doing so at their own risk. (Page News Service)
