NPSA temporarily suspends mass casual leave call

Dimapur, September 24: The Nagaland Police Service Association (NPSA) has temporarily suspended its mass casual leave call on September 24 on the assurances given by the Government of Nagaland represented by the Commissioner & Secretary to the Chief Minister, Nagaland on September 23 at the CMO.
However, the NPSA in an emergence general body meeting held today at Police Complex Chumukedima resolved to resume further course of action if the Government fails to address the justified demands of the NPSA favourable within a period one month.
The emergency general body meeting of all NPS officers on Monday discussed pressing issues relating to the Government’s decision to upgrade the incumbent DIG (Fire & Emergency Services) to the rank of IG (Fire & Emergency Services) and matters relating to cadre review.
A NPSA release informed that the meeting adopted several resolutions to be submitted to the Government.
