NPGN/NNC (NA) dissociates from WC NNPG, says NSCN (IM)

Dimapur, December 5: The NSCN (IM) today disclosed that President of NPGN/NNC (NA), T Ovung has abrogated its association with the Working Group of NNPGs and taken the stand of support the Framework Agreement signed on 3rd August 2015.
“Having realized the danger of their mistakes and the necessity to salvage the righteous cause of the Nagas, a right decision has been taken by NPGN/NNC (NA). Profoundly, we welcomed and acknowledged the President of NPGN/NNC (NA) Mr. T. Ovung,” a press release issued by the MIP stated.
Terming the development as “political pragmatism”, the NSCN (IM) said the President of NPGN/NNC (NA) Mr. T. Ovung made a U-turn and wrote a letter addressed to the Ato Kilonser and Chief Negotiator Th. Muivah to convey to him that NPGN/NNC (NA) has abrogated its association with the WC of NNPGs and taken the stand to support the historic Framework Agreement signed on 3rd August, 2015 in New Delhi between the Government of India and National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN).
Going further, he requested the Ato Kilonser that this matter be taken seriously and include NPGN/NNC (NA) in the settlement of Naga political issue.
