NPF MLAs felicitated in Dimapur


Dimapur, April 3: Felicitation program for NPF MLAs – Azheto Zhimomi of 3 Dimapur-III A/C and Moatoshi Longkumer of 2 Dimapur-II A/C organized by NPF Dimapur Division was held at NPF Dimapur Division office on Monday.
Addressing the gathering NPF workers based in Dimapur and well wishers, Azheto Zhimomi reminded that the party though not in the government, is pretty much organized and ever committed to work for the right and welfare of the people. He assured that the party as opposition in the assembly will fight for the right of the people.
He encouraged the party workers, supporters and well-wishers of Dimapur district that the NPF, with collective effort and with contribution of all will work together as one family for strengthening and interest of the party.
Azheto urged the party functionaries not to misguide their MLAs but to cooperate with them so that they can work for the public.
Also speaking on the occasion, Moatoshi Longkumer said he stand committed to practice what he preach stating that he would not be able to fulfill the aspirations of the people at the earliest with limited resources but will endure it to bring about a change.
He said Dimapur needs change and believed that the public would cooperate with him by changing their mindset thus paving the way for the change to come to Dimapur. He said party alone cannot bring change but all concerned should join hands and work together at achieve our desired goal.
They thanked the NPF party leadership of Dr. Shurhozelie and T R Zeliang and other party functionaries from central to grassroots level for issuing the party tickets to them for rendering valuable support thus electing them to represent the party and the people general in Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
Rev. Puduhu Khusoh, Sr. Pastor, United Baptist Church, Midland Dimapur offered a prayer of blessing for the two NPF MLAs of the district. He later pronounced the benediction.
Pusazo Luruo, vice president, NPF central and incharge Dimapur Division and Bishnu Bhattacharje, president NPF Minority Wing delivered short speeches.
Meribeni Patton enthralled the gathering with her melodious voice.
Er. Rhonthungo M. Ovung, president NPF Dimapur Division delivered welcome address. I. Sosang Jamir, vice president NPF Dimapur division said the invocation prayer. President NPF Women Wing Dimapur division, Vepranulu felicitated the two MLAs on behalf of NPF Dimapur division. Meribeni, general secretary, NPF women wing Dimapur division chaired the function while Temsuyanger Jamir, president, NPF youth wing Dimapur division proposed the vote of thanks.
