Dimapur, October 22: The NPF Minority Wing has extended Durga Puja and Navaratri greetings to the people of Nagaland and neighbouring area.
“Durga Puja is not only a Hindu festival but also it is a major socio-cultural event celebrated in all corner of our country and abroad with great enthusiasm, solidarity and gaiety,” it said.
The minority wing hoped that the celebrations will bring greater peace and happiness to all and strengthen the prevailing social and cultural harmony in the State and the nation as a whole.
DDGBs Association: The Dimapur District GBs Association has extended Durga Puja greetings to Hindu community in Dimapur district.
In a message DDGBA president Khehovi Chophy and general secretary Ponghok Phom stated that peaceful coexistence among different communities is most vital for the well-being of the society and Hindu community in Dimapur have been upfront in maintaining peaceful atmosphere and also continued to support towards the progress of Dimapur.
The association wished the Hindu community a joyous occasion and expressed hope that they would continue to uphold the well-being of the people even in the days to come.
NPCC: The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has extended greetings on the occasion of Durga Puja.
In a message, NPCC president, K Therie said Durga Puja not only epitomizes the victory of good over evil but also celebrates the power behind life and creation. He wished that this festive period usher in a new dawn of triumph of good over evil and of prosperity and goodwill for one another and further wished happiness, joy and a safe Durga Puja.
