NPF leadership breed on lies: Rio

Dimapur, May 23: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today called upon all sections of the people to come forward and extend support to the State Government for stability, transparency, good governance and improving the overall welfare of all sections of the people.
Addressing a massive gathering at Phek town, Rio also alleged that NPF party leadership breed on lies. “TR Zeliang lied on his qualification on affidavits and even lied in village church golden jubilee souvenir saying that he is the first graduate from his village but the RTI proved that he failed BA exam miserably,” he alleged. He also said NPF shouldn’t use the youths to work “for a fraud like TR Zeliang.”
During 4 years of TR and Shurhozelie’s chief ministership the State saw crisis after crisis and corruption was practiced to the core. No road development took place during TR and Shurhozelie’s time, he alleged.
According to a release issued by media cell, PDA Phek District, Rio said BJP central leadership breaking 15 years relationship with NPF is a clear sign that they’ve lost trust on NPF leadership due to corruption, deceit, crisis after crisis and working against the public interest which led to riots and even death of youths and injury to many. “The government should work according to the interest of the people and not against by hurting the people’s sentiments.”
In his address, PDA candidate Tokheho Yepthomi stated that if elected to the Lok Sabha, he will serve the people with outmost sincerity, and made a humble plea to all the PDA partners and supporters to vote in favour of NDPP Globe symbol. He stated that Chief Minister Rio is the tallest leader among the Nagas and this government is here to stay.
MLA Dr Nicki Kire stated that central leadership has confidence and trust on the leadership of Rio. People should come and join the government and not the opposition which leadership is weak and divided, he said.
Minister Neiba Kronu stated Naga issue being at hand Tokheho Yepthomi being the most seasoned and senior leader who knows the issue is the best candidate to represent the people.
State BJP leaders also spoke in the rally.
Kiphire: Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio appealed to the people to vote for PDA candidate to the Lok Sabha, Tokheho Yepthomi saying that it is a good chance to work together this time.
Calling upon the people of the State to vote for the PDA candidate, the Chief Minister highlighted the visions, developmental programmes and policies of the NDA and PDA governments and encouraged the people to reap the fruits of a good, stable government that was focused on the all-round development of the State.
“We have a long way to go. Since its the starting of the new government, I appeal to the people to vote for the PDA candidate and be a part of the government so that we can walk together and uplift the people,” the Chief Minister said and assured that one of his top priorities will always be to address the grievances of the people.
