Dimapur, January 27: TDimapur, January 27: The Naga People’s Front (NPF) lauded the Nagaland Lokayukta ordering prosecution sanction against a retired State Government official.
In a press release, the NPF welcomed the sanction given to the State police to charge sheet Angau Thou (IAS), retired Commissioner & Secretary, for her alleged involvement in illegal appointment.
The NPF urged the Nagaland Lokayukta not to hesitate but apply the same yardstick against all officers indulging in corrupt practices. The public is hopeful that the Lokayukta will curb corruption by Government officials and deliver justice, it said and urged Lokayukta not to succumb to any political pressure.
“The NPF party is also of the hope and believes that such stern actions against any particular officer is not a political vendetta and ignore the other major corruption cases, which is lying pending in the court of Lokayukta.”
The public expect that the Lokayukta will do away with all the other pending cases fairly and not surrender under any political pressure and “pick and choose” particular cases but deliver justice to all the pending cases, it added.
