NPF demands action against RD principal secretary

Dimapur, April 27: The NPF Legislature Party has demanded the PDA Government to initiate stringent action against Lhoubeilatuo Kire, Principal Secretary of RD Department for indiscipline as per Service Conduct Rules.
In its meeting held today at De Oriental Grand, Kohima, the NPF Legislature Party unanimously concluded that the audacious behaviour of Lhoubeilatuo Kire, Principal Secretary of RD Department over the expose of abnormal fund-allocation to a particular village in Dimapur District, which the NPF Press Bureau, NPF Central HQs had revealed through a press release as most appalling.
“That the said officer could have the temerity to rally support of social organizations against Leader of the NPF Legislature Party to the extent of serving an ultimatum to the latter, is most shocking and unbecoming of a Government servant,” it said while adopting a resolution demanding the Government to take stringent action against the officer.
The meeting also observed that the said officer in question had given false declaration, widely carried in the local media, by claiming that he had taken-over charge of RD Department in the 1st week of April, 2018, whereas available Government documents shows that he had taken-over charge of the Department on March 17, 2018.
“In his reply, the officer had asked the NPF Party to produce proof and evidences of him indulging in corrupt practices such as taking RD money for himself, issuing of CGI sheets, misuse of Department vehicles, office stationeries and so on failing which he had threatened to take up recourses. This is indeed, very strange because the NPF Party had never raised such issues at any point of time, neither in public platform nor through Press statements,” the party said.
Stating the serving of an ultimatum to the Leader of NPF Legislature Party (Leader of Opposition), TR Zeliang is unprecedented and unacceptable under democratic and parliamentary norms and procedures, the party seriously viewed that the way allegations were levelled against the Leader of Opposition was tantamount to questioning the role of every opposition MLA, inside or outside the legislative assembly.
The meeting also demanded that the Department of Rural Development come out with MNREGS facts and figures against each and every village under Dimapur District without further delay.
