NPF condemns


Dimapur, June 4: The Naga People’s Front (NPF) has vehemently condemned the brutal killing of three youths belonging to Zeliang, Sangtam and Karbi tribe allegedly murdered by two Karbi youths inside the KS Wotsami Complex at Dimapur on June 3 evening.
In a release, the NPF alleged that no sooner did the PDA took over the Government, random killings, extortion on business community, raping of women and minor girls’ cases are witnessing an upscale in the State. It questioned the PDA Government whether they consider these unrest in the State as a trend to be ignored or it is the responsibility of the present Government to provide security and protection to its citizens.
The NPF also condemned the recent factional killings that took place at Arunachal Pradesh where three Nagas belonging to a certain Naga outfit were killed, and called for total cease of gun culture among the Naga factions. It also appealed to all NPGs to maintain peace and tranquillity.
While condemning all such heinous murders and killings and unrest in Naga society, the NPF urged the present Government to stop all pointless appointments of their party workers and their near and dear ones into the State Government undertakings which, it said, is doing more harm than good to the already drained state exchequer but to focus more on real development that will benefit the entire populace.
The NPF also stated that Nagas are living in perilous times where we are not safe in our own homes and asked the PDA govt to be serious about their slogan, “Change is coming”, as it has become a mockery to the public.
The NPF reminded the PDA Government to contain the law and order situations in the state before a complete breakdown occurs, while also appealing to the law enforcing agencies to book the culprits and deliver justice to the victims at earliest possible time. (Page News Service)
