NPF celebrates Pre Christmas

Dimapur, December 6: The Naga People’s Front on Thursday celebrated the Pre-Christmas on Thursday with much pomp and gaiety here at the Central office Kohima.
In his Christmas message, the NPF President, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu stressed the need to have the true Christ spirit in us while we celebrate the joyous birth of Jesus Christ and stated that any person who puts the Christ in the centre of his heart will always be success and happy in life.
Delivering his message from the Holy Bible, John 3:16, the President said that the world as well as the human kind have the most blessed gift from God as He sent His own Son, Jesus Christ to this earth to save the human kind from their sins. Therefore, the Christmas time is the challenge time and the most significant to us as this is the moment for us to prove our obedience towards Him.
Dr. Shürhozelie also stressed upon that becoming a politician, it is also like any other professions and like any other profession, if we do not work for the welfare of the people, we cannot become a good politician. Therefore, he called upon the congregation to humble down oneself and put Christ first and work for the people.
Earlier, on the occasion N Vihoshe Swu and Banuo Sanchu read the scripture portion while Vimenuo Nakhro delivered the Christmas greeting, Thangsat invokes God’s blessing and Virie Kuotsu enthralled the congregation with her song. The programme was chaired by S Akho Leyri.
The programme was attended by Central office bearers, CEC members, Frontals, MLAs and well wishers.
