Noklak gets town council office

\DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 7: Deputy Commissioner of Noklak, Reny Wilfred inaugurated the Noklak Town Council Office-cum-Facilitation Counter building at DC office complex, an undertaking of Municipal Affairs and implemented by the district administration, on February 6.


Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner stated that the concept of the building is to exhibit the potential to bring low-cost housing in remote areas for officers, medical staff and teachers who suffer a lot due to lack of proper accommodation.
According to the DC, the district has scope to improve in agri products marketing, aquaculture, weaving, handicrafts, beads making and tourism, among others.
He also suggested to start taxi services in the district by Khiamniungan Menyiu Hoikam in order to empower women in the district and further welcomed all to visit, suggest and even criticize without hesitation so that improvements can be made in future projects. Further, he called upon the corporate firms to come and be a part of the district building through various projects.
SDO (Civil) Noklak and Administrator of Noklak Town Council, C Phuniang requested all to walk the extra mile. He expressed gratitude to the deputy commissioner for completing the project within 10 days and requested all to use the building in a productive way.
