DIMAPUR, MARCH 16: Advisor for Prisons, Printing & Stationery, H Haiying inaugurated an ART (Anti-retroviral therapy) centre at Community Health Centre, Noklak on March 16.


Haiying congratulated the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, for constructing a full-fledged ART centre under Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) in Noklak.
He appreciated NACO for making the facility available in the district and. Reminding that the Community Health Centre has been upgraded to District Hospital, the Advisor requested the community to have sense of ownership and give positive response to the government.
Deputy Commissioner of Noklak, Reny Wilfred stated that Noklak is getting district hospital status and expressed his gratitude to all who had initiated and worked for the successful opening of ART centre in the district.
He opined that mobile unit lab should be started in order to reach out to far-flung villages. The DC appreciated all the doctors and staff of CHC Noklak and KMH for conducting free medical camp on International Women’s Day.
He also thanked the representative of 56th AC for setting up of solar LED lighting in Noklak.
Deputy Director (CST) of NSACS, Dr. Nitovi Shikhi appreciated the church for coming forward to fight HIV and AIDS. He requested the community to co-operate with the authorities and not to discriminate people living with HIV and AIDS.
