Dimapur, July 22: Advisor to Horticulture &Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan on July 22 inaugurated the District Horticulture Office at Noklak.
Speaking on the occasion, he stated that a new dawn of progress and development is being witnessed in the district and congratulated the people of Noklak for having a separate district. The Advisor expressed hope that with the opening of District Horticulture Office, the people of the district will enjoy the fruits and benefits through the Department.
He added that the farmers will have an opportunity to learn modern ways of farming and encourage them to come forward to get the benefits from the Department.
Encouraging the Government employees, Yanthan asked them to work sincerely in all their responsibilities and capacities, wherever they are posted, in order to leave a good footprint behind. He also sought the support and co-operation of the public.
Advisor to Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Evaluation, Economic & Statistics, L Khumo Khiamniungan said that with the establishment of the Office, traditional ways of farming will be improved and lead to modern ways of farming in the region.
