Dimapur, April 15: Noklak District Films released and screened four videos, which were documented by filmmaker Chentei Khiamniungan and Tourism In-charge Noklak District, P Shingnya, at Red Cross Complex in Kohima on April 13.
Deputy Commissioner of Noklak, Reny Wilfred said the films were based on the perspective of tourism, conservation of bio-diversity in the district and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the people in Noklak district. He also said the documentary videos are not for monetary pursuit but to showcase the rich potentials of the district in the field of tourism, market for handicrafts, agricultural produces etc.
The four videos released during the function were ‘The Cave’ released by Advisor for Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Evaluation, Economic & Statistics, L Khumo; ‘Choklangan Village’ released by NPSC Member S Chonta; ‘Wui Village’ released by Joint Secretary for Agriculture, Tainiu; and ‘Langnok Village’ released by Pheniang, PS to H Haiying, Advisor for Prisons, Printing & Stationery.
A panel discussion hosted by P Shingnyu with L Khumo, Reny Wilfred, S Chonta, Tainiu and Pheniang was also held. (Page News Service)
