NOA to conduct race events on June 24

Dimapur, May 26: The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) has announced its participation in the global celebration of Olympic Day on June 24 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, on the theme “Let’s Move”. This year the event is designed to inspire children and youth aged 4 to 16 years, aimed at promoting an active lifestyle, promote sportsmanship and celebrate the Olympic spirit.
The event will be conducted in various race categories catering to different age groups, ensuring an inclusive and engaging experience for all participants. The race categories are as follows:
30 Meters: 4years and above – below 6years (Born after 1st June 2017)
50 Meters: 6 years and above – below 9years (Born after 1st June 2014)
80 Meters: 9 years and above – below 13years (Born after 1st June 2010)
100 Meters: 13 years and above – below 16years (Born after 1st June 2007)
The Association has encouraged parents, guardians, schools and sports enthusiasts to actively support and encourage their children’s participation in this memorable event.
The NOA has also announced that a total cash prize of Rs 50,400 will be awarded to the winners, along with merit certificate from the Nagaland Olympic Association. Each participant will also receive certificate from the International Olympic Committee.
Registration for the Olympic Day Run is now open to all young participants aged 4 to 16 years. There is no entry fee. The last date for registration is June 18.
