NOA announces officials for forthcoming NE Games 2024

Dimnpur, March 8: The Nagaland Olympic Association has announced a team of officials to lead the contingent for the forthcoming Northeast Games with T Meren Paul serving as the esteemed Chef de Mission.
Assisting Paul in his duties are two Deputy Chef de Missions, Nyuvitho Nyuthe and Lemjan Phom. Nyuthe, who hails from Phek district and currently serving as the Assistant Director in the Department of Youth Resources & Sports, is a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of sports administration. Meanwhile, Lemjan Phom, who hails from Longleng district, is the Vice-President of Nagaland Badminton Association brings her expertise and dedication to the team, contributing significantly to the success of the delegation.
Leading the team as the Team Manager is Vekhozo Ringa, the General Secretary of the Nagaland Wushu Association.
Recognizing the critical importance of medical support during the event, Dr. George Thirah has been appointed as the team doctor, with Dr. Gwalozu Chung serving as the Head Physiotherapist. Supporting them are a team of skilled Physiotherapy professionals comprising Dr. Kivi Swu, Dr. Zakielatuo, Dr. A. Kajikho, Dr. Nzhuyhun Seb, Ms. Lily Tzudir, and Mr.Veikho Ronald, ensuring the athletes receive comprehensive medical care throughout the competition.
In a historic first, the Nagaland Contingent will benefit from the guidance of Chief Mentor, Chekrovolu Swuro, an esteemed Arjuna Awardee, Olympian and a world championship medalist whose invaluable experience and mentorship will undoubtedly inspire and motivate the athletes. Additionally, Hokato Hotozhe Serna, a distinguished Para Asian Garnes Medalist, will serve as a mentor, offering guidance and support to the contingent. He is the first and only Asian Para Games medalist from Nagaland.
As a first in its sporting history, a Chaplain for the Nagaland Contingent, Visasier Kevichusa, who currently serves as the Pastor at Kingdom Culture Church, Dimapur has been appointed to foster spiritual rejuvenation among the contingent members, reinforcing their commitment to representing Nagaland with integrity and pride on the sporting stage.
