The association also reminded that the Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services rules 2018 was approved and notified in Nagaland Gazette, and as per this service rules mandatory training is a must for every rank and promotion.
“Till date none of the NPS cadre officer have the requisite qualifications for holding such post,” it stated.
However, the NFESA pointed out that the incumbent DIG (Fire&ES) has the requisite qualification for holding IG (F&ES) as per Nagaland Fire & Emergency Service Rules 2018. It also clarified that the incumbent DIG (Fire & ES) was promoted to DIG (Fire & ES) on 8th May 2013 and not in 2010 as claimed by the NPSA in its press release.
