DIMAPUR, JULY 20: Convener of WC, NNPGs, N Kitovi Zhimomi on Tuesday said that it doesn’t have any differences with NSCN (IM), vis-à-vis the Indo-Naga talks. The WC, NNPGs and the NSCN (IM) are currently engaged in separate talks with the Centre and have also signed separate documents ~ Agreed Position and Framework Agreement.
Speaking to Reporters after a meeting with the Core Committee of Nagaland Legislators on Naga political issue at Niathu Resort, Dimapur, Kitovi said: “We are satisfied and there is nothing to be confused as of now. There are no differences with NSCN (IM). Naga problem is with Government of India and when we have resolved our differences with Government of India, there is no reason why there should there be differences among Nagas. As and when Government of India invites to sign the document we will sit across the table and sign the agreement because there will be only one solution”.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said that the purpose of the meeting was to get briefing on the status of Naga talks from the group and to relay the message of Naga public to them.
“People want settlement peace and development. We are coming together to pursue for early solution…we are trying to understand one another, what are the problems, what are the obstacles so that we can unitedly, collectively, pursue for settlement”, he said.
The Core Committee is set to meet with NSCN (IM) leaders tomorrow.
Reliable sources said that on Tuesday, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and NPF chief Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu had separate meetings with NSCN (IM) leader Th Muivah at Police Complex, Chumukedima.
