NNPGs ban taxation on  Chumu-PB 4-lane works

Dimapur, May 10: The Working Committee (WC) of Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) has decided that no political group within the WC shall seek donation or indulge in taxation of any kind from TK Engineering Co that is engaged in 4-lane work from Chumukedima to Purana Bazaar.
This was decided in a meeting at Oking on May 9.
The media cell, WC NNPGs said the decision was taken to enable the concerned company to focus on quality workmanship, removing all hurdles and complete the project within stipulated timeframe.
The NNPGs said it will get involved to strictly check the quality of work. It also asked the company to promptly report to WC members of NNPGs should any donation demand is made.
The WC meeting also endorsed the formation of a special team comprising of members of military wing from all NNPGs under WC to tackle the menace of imposters and dubious elements terrorizing entrepreneurs and business outlets especially in and around Dimapur.
“The commercial hub of Nagaland is in the grip of gun-toting imposters posing as representatives of NNPGs. They shall be identified and befittingly penalized,” it warned.
Also informing that there are reports of policeman in civilian dresses arresting people randomly at gunpoint, the WC said without proper identity there is a danger of them being mistaken as rogue elements. “Proper mechanism must be in place to avoid accident through mistaken identity,” it said.
The NNPGs appealed to all citizens, particularly business community, to extend cooperation in this endeavour.
