NNF urges Govt to resume society registration renewal

Dimapur, July 7: The Nagaland NGOs Forum (NNF) has appealed to the Government of Nagaland to resume issuance of societies’ registration renewal.
In a letter to the State Chief Secretary, NNF president Dr Y Hesheto Chishi and general secretary Chenithung Humtsoe said all the registered societies need to renew their registration after every two years. But due to the COVID-19 lockdown, it said all file movements remain standstill as a result of which societies that require renewal of registration from March 2020 till date are facing untold challenges to renew the ongoing projects as well as applying for new projects as the criteria requirements of qualifying for application on both cases is an updated registration which is mandatory for all governmental and non-governmental agencies’ schemes.
The NNF fervently appealed the CS to intervene in the districts level to start processing of renewal of society registrations lying under their disposals at the earliest so as to all the functional NGOs to carry forward their works without any hindrances. (Page New Service)
