NNC calls for Naga unity


Wokha, November 28: Naga National Council (NNC) parent body today resolved to stand for Naga unity for the best interest of Naga people as a whole. It also resolved to stand for all the Naga groups to sit across the table to work out the best possible unity in the interest of Naga national workers in particular.
In its general meeting held today at LTC hall, Wokha to discuss Naga political settlement, the NNC also resolved to stand for political solution with the state of Naga national unity in the interest of Naga people as one people and one homeland.
The three-point resolution was passed in the meeting with all members raising their hands as a sign of accepting the meeting resolution.
NNC acting president Yilow chaired the programme, while the agenda and resolution was move by Vizosielhou Nagi, general secretary, NNC.
All region presidents participated in the meeting. Yimchunger women region spoke on Naga unity without differences. Earlier, the council had a mass prayer for Naga peace and unity without division.
The general meeting was attend by regions from Angami, Yimchunger, Sumi, Ao, Rengma, while Zeliang, Phom and Konyak were unable to attend due to travel inconvenience and they send greeting and assurance to sand on common interest. More than 200 NNC members attended the meet. (Page News Service)
