NNC alleges violation of ‘deed of commitment’

Dimapur, July 23: The NNC parent body under the leadership of Z. Royim and V.Nagi taken exception to one Toshi (Yibang) Walling, whose name was mentioned as co-convener in the WC media cell statement published on July 21 in the local dailies.
In a statement, the Information & Publicity Wing, NNC said this was done without the knowledge and approval of the NNC office and that of Central Executive Council Body, which “is a complete violation of the Deed of Commitment signed on 8th August 2017 by the Six NNPGs.”
“This is an insult and a clear conspiracy to create further misunderstanding and division after victimization of our officially recognized leader V. Nagi, the General Secretary of NNC Parent Body and Co-Covener of Working Committee (WC) NNPGs,” it said.
Stating that it had been keeping quiet and restrained from writing political statement for the betterment of our people and the political negotiation in particular at this sensitive stage, the NNC parent body strongly condemned and disapproved “this hideous design of creating misunderstanding and division” at this sensitive and crucial juncture of political negotiation with the Government of India.
“The concerned leader or leaders will be held responsible in this matter of action,” it said. It added that the NNC parent body will not stand or work for someone’s vested interest at the cost of Naga people but will always stand true and strong to the Naga people’s interest.
