NLA Speaker holds discussion on village adoption

Dimapur, September 20: Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Vikho-o Yhoshü, who is also the Advisor of the Village Adoption Committee, discussed with members of the committee for 14th Southern Angami constituency, the areas where it can work to develop the adopted village. The meeting was held at the Speaker’s residence on September 19.
With smaller villages adopted in previous years, the Speaker said this time opportunity has been given to larger villages, with Kigwema village adopted for the year 2019-20. Altogether seven villages fall under 14th Southern A/C.
Yhoshü expressed hope that in spite of the limited time and resources, the VAC will be able to work along with the village and provide their expertise in areas requiring development. The DPDB has enhanced the budget from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 3 lakh for 2019-2020.
