NLA budget session: Starred questions raised on day 2

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 15: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio informed that the NPSC roster is maintained subject-wise and post-wise with reference to advertisement no. NPSC-3/2019 dated November 13, 2019 and addendum/corrigendum dated January 27, 2021. This was in reply to the starred questions raised by NPF legislator, Yitachu on February 15 during the 7th session of the 13th NLA. Rio also informed that no backward tribe has been left out under the mentioned advertisement.

In reply to NPF MLA Dr Chumben Murry’s starred question on COVID-19 vaccination drive, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Pangnyu Phom informed that around 31% of the registered health workers in the State have been vaccinated. Phom also informed that various sensitisation workshops were conducted.
On the question of display of National Flag on official vehicles raised by NPF MLA, Imkong Imchen, Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton informed that as per the Flag Code of India, 2002, it is up to the minister whether to use the National Flag on an official vehicle.
Reports and bills
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio laid down the following Administrative Reports (2020-21): State Mineral Development Corporation Ltd; State Council of Educational Research & Training; Youth Resources and Sports; Industries and Commerce; Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship; Excise & Prohibition; Chief Electoral Officer. He also laid down Annual Report 2017-18 of Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation Ltd; Annual Report 2018-19 of Nagaland Information Commission and Nagaland Food Security Rules 2016 of Food & Civil Supplies Department.
Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue &Parliamentary Affairs, Neiba Kronu laid down Administrative Report of the departments of Planning & Coordination and Land Revenue.
Presentation of Assembly Committee reports: MLA, Keneizhakho Nakhro, member of the Assurance Committee, presented a copy of the 96th & 97th Reports of the Committee on Government Assurances.
Advisor Horticulture & Border Affairs, Mhathung Yanthan, Chairman of the Committee on Public Undertakings laid down a copy of 87th, 88th, 89th, 90th, 91st, 92nd and 93rd report on the examination of the Audit contained in the Comptroller & Auditor General of India for 2012-13, 2015-16 pertaining to Nagaland Handloom &Handicrafts and Commerce & Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation Ltd.
Advisor School Education, K Tokugha Sukhalu, presented a copy of 123rd & 124th report for the year 2014-15 to 2015-16 on the State of Finances Audit Report and Audit reports on the Social, Economic, Revenue and General sectors.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio introduced the Nagaland Goods and Service Tax (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2020. The bill is to be introduced on February 16, 2021. (Page News Service)
