Dimapur, May 6: Nizams FC, Natak FC and Trinity Sporting secured three points at the end of Match day 5 of the Case Premier League at Police Ground, Chumukedima on May 5.
Aruti braced helped Trinity Sporting edged past Case FC 2-1. It was an evenly contested match with both teams tied up at second place at the start of the match. Aruti broke the deadlock with a close range header. Kaisu levelled the score 8 minutes later. But Trinity scored in the dying minutes of the game to win the match.
Nizams FC maintained its unbeaten run by beating Super Strikers 2-0. Goals from Temsu and Aloto put them comfortably at the top of the table with 15 points.
Teammate drew with Stafac 1-1 in another match. Teammate survival for the top four spot was hampered with a draw against a resurgent Stafac. Lima Ao opened the score with a curling free-kick. Sedevi of Stafac levelled the score from a spot kick.
In the other match of the day, new entrants Natak FC made a attacking comeback by pumping in four goals after trailing by 3 goals in the first half, beating veterans G Sports 4-3.
